Coding & Decoding

Hello guys  my name is bhawesh and today we'll talk about coding and decoding. Let's get started.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coding and decoding form an important part of the Analytical reasoning section in all the aptitude related papers. Usually, three to five questions appear from this area in various entrance exams.

In the alphabetic coding and decoding area, the majority of the questions are of the following types:

    Pattern Based Coding and Decoding
To solve pattern based questions quickly, you should learn the positions of the letters in English alphabet. For this, you should learn the basic five letters of the non-dictionary word E-J-O-T-Y which are respectively positioned at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25th position. With these five 'landmarks', the positions of all the other letters can be easily found.
Let us take the case of 'R'. Since R is two letters behind T, so its position will be 18.

Example 1: The questions covered in this type are like "If TEACHER is coded as VGCEJGT, how will you code HUSBAND"?

Solution: Here, you need to check what logic of coding is applied between the letters of the given word and that of the code. Here code for T is V i.e. 2 is added in the position of T to get its code. The same thing happens for the other letters too. Now, to write the code of the word HUSBAND, you need to add 2 in the positions of the letters of the HUSBAND and its code will be JWUDCPF.

Key Learning

You must keep one important point in mind- in many cases of pattern coding, the coding is written in the reverse order i.e. the code of the first letter is written in the last, the code of the second letter is written at the second last position and so on.

Example 2: The code of the word TEACHER is TGJECVG.

Solution: Here, the basic concept in coding is the same as the earlier one, the only difference is that the code is written in the reverse order. Similarly, the difference in the letters of the word and the code may vary. E.g. the code for the word TEACHER could have been UGDGMKY, then the letters are moved + 1, + 2, + 3, + 4, + 5, + 6 positions.

    Random pattern coding and decoding
In this type of questions, the code of the word is written randomly and the question asked contains the same letters as given in the original word. In order to answer this, you just have to check for the code of each letter from the given word and place the corresponding code for every letter.

Example 3: If the code of the word TEACHER is XHDIKHL, what will be the code of HEAT?

Solution: Observe the question closely and you should be able to conclude that there is no relation between the letters of the word TEACHER and the letters of the given code, but the letters of the word HEAT are already contained in the parent word TEACHER. So, picking the corresponding code from the parent word, the code for HEAT will be KHDX.

Coding of a word in a sentence:
In this type of coding questions, generally three or four sentences or words are given with sentences or words containing codes. You just have to check for the common words/letters in the sentences/words and corresponding common words/letters in the codes to get the answer e.g. "Ram is Smart" is coded as LPG and "Smart means intelligent" is coded as SLY. From this, you should analyze that the only common word is 'smart' and the only common letter is 'L', which means that 'L' is the code for the word 'smart'. Do remember- in such cases, the codes are not seen at the corresponding positions but for the common words.

Coding and Decoding: Key Learning

In this article, you got to know about different types of coding-decoding questions asked in competitive exams and how to solve these questions by using EJOTY technique.
In order to get a hold on such questions, you need to solve variety of Coding-Decoding questions. This section is a very important and time-consuming from competitive exams' point of view.

How to monitor and manage your PC from any smartphone or tablet

Hey guy's it's me bhawesh. Today i bring a new topic for all my reader's and today you'll know "how to monitor and manage your pc from any smartphone or tablet" it is easy just read all the word below.

It's 2013, and computing has entered a new age of mobility. If you're still wasting time trudging over to your PCs to perform routine maintenance, check for software updates, and power down every night, you haven't gotten with the programme.
Businesses of all sizes need tools for remotely monitoring and maintaining multiple PCs simultaneously—and today we show PC enthusiasts and amateur efficiency experts (read: lazy people) how to use these tools for their own purposes.
If you have a smartphone in your pocket, a data plan, and a few computers that need monitoring, you can set up a convenient PC remote management system that lets you check on your PCs from anywhere, saving you time, money, and (potentially) your business.

Get started

A mind-boggling array of remote PC management software is available, but this guide focuses on installing and using an excellent tool called pc monitor from MMSoft Design Ltd. IPC Monitor is designed to help you administer a few systems from any smartphone or tablet that has a live Internet connection. PC Monitor is available for mobile devices running Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, or Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating systems. Companion applications for the PC are available for Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux.
PC Monitor is free to use on up to three PCs. MMSoft will sell licenses to end users who want to monitor more than three systems from a single account; the company also markets its PC Monitor Enterprise Server, which can be hosted on an internal network. The free mobile app and its PC counterparts are full-featured and immensely useful, but only on systems that maintain an active connection to the Web; both the PC and the mobile components of PC Monitor require access to MMSoft’s servers in order to interface with each other.

Installing and configuring PC Monitor takes only a few steps—and if you don’t customize the notifications, rules, and monitors, you can complete the installation in minutes. For our description of the process, we use an Android-based tablet and Windows 7-based PCs, but the steps are virtually identical across all platforms.

Install PC Monitor on your systems

When you launch PC Monitor Manager for the first time, it will prompt you to create a new account.
To install PC Monitor on your desktop, point your browser to the PC Monitor Website, open the download section, and download the correct version of the tool for your operating system. When the download is complete, double-click the file to launch the installer, and then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. The default setup options should be sufficient for everyone. The application is very small (less than 9MB) and consumes minimal resources. You’ll need to install the appropriate application on each of the systems you want to monitor.
After the installation is complete, run the PC Monitor Manager application. The first time you launch the PC Monitor Manger, it will prompt you to create an account. That account is crucial for connecting your PCs to your mobile devices (or for monitoring your systems through PC Monitor’s Web interface, accessible from MMSoft's website). After you submit your contact information, MMSoft will send a validation code to your email address. Enter the validation code to authenticate the account, click OK to close the window, and then click OK in the PC Monitor Manager application window to log in and start the PC Monitor service.
On the initial account screen, you can enter a computer name and a group name for the system. By default the full Windows computer name is used, along with the group name 'Default'.

Customize your counters

Clicking the Performance Counters tab opens a pop-up window where you can configure the specific counter.
PC Monitor can report on anything that Windows’ built-in Performance Monitor (perfmon.exe) can track—as well as virtual machines, Internet Information Services (IIS), and SQL Server, among many other things. The sheer number of configurable options and rules makes an exhaustive list of them too long to reproduce here. But despite the wealth of information that PC Monitor can provide, the setup process is fairly straightforward. The default configuration gives users access to PC health data, running processes, memory use, and hard drive status, plus control over power states and OS updates, and the ability to open a command prompt.
If you’d like to configure custom monitors or counters—say, for CPU utilization or to track a particular service—this is a good time to perform that task. Click the System tab at the top of the PC Monitor Manager window, and work your way through the subsequent tabs listed in the main interface. The General tab contains a basic list of permissible commands. The Services tab lists all services installed on the system; you can monitor any item on this list by ticking the box next to the service’s name. The Network tab lets you monitor network interfaces, ports, and performance. And the Scheduled Tasks tab, like the Services tab, invites you to enable the monitor simply by ticking a task. Under the Performance Counters tab, you can set up custom counters based on criteria that you specify. Click the Add button in the right-pane of the Performance Counters tab; and then, in the resulting pop-up window, configure the category, instance, and specific counter.

Set up notification alerts

You can set up many alerts in the Notifications tab simply by ticking options listed there.
PC Monitor's flexible built-in notification system will send alerts when certain conditions arise. To get the most from PC Monitor and to have it notify you the moment something critical occurs and demands your attention, click through the various tabs available on the Notifications menu and enable any alerts that you deem important. PC Monitor can send notifications when the computer starts up or shuts down, when particular users sign on, or when someone plugs in a removable drive. It can also send notifications when a triggering event occurs or when a key hardware component (such as a processor) begins to overheat.

In many instances, enabling alerts in the PC Monitor Manager involves nothing more than ticking various options listed on the tabs available under the Notification menu. More-advanced notification options may entail manually setting up rules to trigger a notification. The process for setting up a notification alert is similar to the one for configuring a custom counter. First, tick the box labeled Send a notification when one of these conditions are met; then click the Add button, and specify the relevant conditions in the resulting window.

Grab the PC Monitor mobile app

The PC Monitor mobile app's initial screen.
After you’ve installed the PC Monitor application on the computers you want to monitor, install the companion mobile app on your smartphone or tablet. Versions of the PC Monitor app are available from Apple's App Store, from Google Play, and from the Windows Phone Marketplace. At the appropriate venue, search for 'PC Monitor' and download and install the app. MMSoft imposes no limit on the number of mobile devices you can install the PC Monitor app on; the three-system limit is only for the computers being monitored.  If you have several tablets and smartphones, you can install the mobile app on all of them. After installing the PC Monitor mobile app, launch it. You’ll see a simple screen containing only two buttons: 'Configure Account' and 'More Info'. Tap the Configure Accountbutton, and on the subsequent screen enter the username and password that you set up earlier to sign in.
Setup options for the PC Monitor mobile app.

Select a PC

A system list in PC Monitor.
If your mobile device and PCs have active connections to the Web, upon signing in to PC Monitor you should see a list of your systems. We set up PC Monitor on two systems (labeled ADRIENNE-NZXT and EVGA-CLASSIFIED) with the Default group name. Tapping either system name in the list will bring up a system overview and other details. Tapping any of the icons at the top of the PC Monitor app will display other groups associated with your account, notifications, and reports.

Monitor your PC from your couch

If you’ve enabled notifications, and the PC Monitor desktop and mobile applications are communicating properly, all that remains for you to do is to explore the mobile app to monitor and manage your systems. PC Monitor will send notification alerts if necessary, of course, but the mobile app also provides a host of data in real time.
After you tap a system name in the left pane of the app, the right pane will become populated with system details and buttons for performing various tasks, such as opening a command prompt, checking for OS updates, or restarting the system. You can also use the PC Monitor mobile app to send messages back to the associate desktop PCs, if you want to alert a user sitting in front of the machine about an issue.
The PC Monitor mobile app provides quick access to your PC's data and myriad management options. We especially like the ability to access the Event Viewer and Windows Update, to view running processes, and to alter power states.

After the application is installed on a system, the PC Monitor service runs unobtrusively in the background and consumes minimal system resources. No icons appear in the system tray, and the app doesn't pester you with unwanted balloon or other notifications. Unless you have the PC Monitor Manager utility open, PC Monitor is as invisible as an application can be on a Windows system. During our testing for this project, the PC Monitor service rarely, if ever, consumed any detectable CPU time and used no more than 44MB of RAM, so using the app shouldn't raise any performance concerns.
Since PC Monitor is free to run on up to three systems for personal use, there’s little reason not to give it a shot. If you have a compatible mobile device and some systems that you’d like to monitor remotely, you can have PC Monitor downloaded, installed, and running in a matter of minutes.
Now you've done just enjoy it. If any question do you have then comment below and if you like it then share it. Thanks for taking time to read my blog post.

Dell is selling the world’s first wirelessly charging laptop for $1,750

The Dell Latitude 7285, the world’s first wirelessly charging laptop, is now on sale, but its charging capabilities will have to be added on at an additional cost. Dell just announced more pricing and availability details today on the device, which is a 12-inch, detachable 2-in-1 first announced back at CES, and others in its new lineup of hybrid laptops.

So why the extra cost? Well, it’s not the tablet part that has wireless charging capabilities, as Dell achieves that through a kind of hack. The company uses an attachable keyboard, sold separately, as a wireless charging base, although the keyboard cannot be charged beforehand and you can’t use it on any metal surfaces.

Dell said today that the Latitude 7285 12-inch is available for sale on its website starting at $1,199.99, and the Wireless Charging Keyboard and Wireless Charging Mat will run you $549.99. (You save $29.99 if you buy them together versus separately.) The 12-inch 2-in-1’s $1,199.99 option has a Intel Core i5-7Y54 with 128GB SSD and 8GB of memory. A 13-inch convertible version of the Dell Latitude 7000 will become available in August, with pricing for that device to be announced soon.

How to earn money online?

Find your first freelance client
There is a limit to how much you can save, but there is no limit to how much you can earn. Finding a new job or changing careers takes time (we’ll get to that). But in the next few days you can set up your first side hustle and make money fast.

And the best part: you’ll only get BETTER at freelancing. Unlike cutting back on the things you love, which you’ll never get better at. Once you get paying clients, the easy ways to make money only grow in number.

First thing: So many other websites will tell you to troll for freelance gigs on places like Elance or Mechanical Turk. These places work if you want to compete with people all over the world in a race to do the most work for less. No thanks.

Look at what you’ve already got. 95% of jobs can translate into some sort of side gig. Ask yourself: What do I enjoy? What do I do with my free time? What do people ask me to do because I’m so good at it?

People are very bad at identifying their own skills. They’ll say things like, “I dunno….I guess I’m good at writing and communication, and, like, general organizational skills…” AMAZING!! HERE’S a $4,000/MONTH RETAINER!!! (Sorry, won’t happen.)

Repeat this over and over: People pay for solutions, not your skills.

For example, I was on a webcast where I was suggesting ways for people to earn money on the side, and I mentioned that I hate cooking, am not good at it, and would love it if someone cooked for me. I got an email later that night from someone who said, “Ramit, I can help. I can teach you everything you need to know over one weekend, and you’ll know 3-5 great dishes to cook.” I appreciated the offer, but wrote back, “Thanks for the offer! But you don’t understand. I don’t want to learn — I want someone to do it for me.”

Again: People have problems. They want solutions.

They don’t care what you’re “interested” in. Are they too busy to organize their closet? Do they need someone to help them redesign their website? Maybe they want someone to teach their kid how to play flute.

Start off by assessing the skills you use every day at home or at work. Things like:

• Do a little PHP coding
• Organize systems
• Automate complex processes
• Project manage
• Create technical documents that can be understood by lay audiences
• Lead a team

Don’t get stuck here. Ask yourself: Which of these skills can solve a specific problem? Brainstorm those out.

• I could do some PHP coding, but I’m not the best. Don’t censor yourself — put everything down.
• I could help businesses automate and streamline their income-generating processes. Vague, but okay.
• I could manage projects and lead teams towards deadlines / organizing. This is super-vague, any 22-year-old college grad would say he could do the same, and it doesn’t take advantage of my specific skills. Skip this.
• I could be a technical writer and help companies demystify their technical-support documents. I could even rewrite the technical portions of their websites to make them more comprehensible to normal people, especially companies in the consumer-energy field. Very promising, especially since I follow a few of these companies online.

Each of these individually is a potentially viable freelance trade – can you pick one and do it? The answer should be YES/NO to each. Put “YES” if even remotely feasible.

• PHP coding: YES
• Automate systems: NO (too vague for me to know where to start)
• Project manage: NO (too vague)
• Technical writer: YES

Excellent. Now you have a list of skills that might potentially be profitable. Optional: Combine skills together to make a more compelling, more niche offer.

You can often charge more and help clients more by packaging offers. In this case, it’s not very relevant, since technical writing and PHP coding are pretty different. But one of the people who helps on iwillteachyoutoberich pitched me to do video editing + marketing. Perfect fit. I hired him.

Next step: How can you prove to people that you’re knowledgeable enough for them to pay you?

The first thing I do when evaluating someone is look at their portfolio and past clients. At least half of potential hires don’t have this section. Easy solution! I move on to someone who does.

• For our systems engineer, can he point to a PHP project he did on the side?
• What about a sample of technical writing where he turned something very complicated into something totally palatable?

Having one portfolio entry increases your odds of landing a client by at least 200%. Having 5 increases it significantly more.

Last step: Start finding clients. With your offering in place it’s time to find potential clients. Sure you could randomly print business cards or set up a blog. But before doing ANY of that you need to make sure you have something people want.

– Identify your clients. Who are they? What are their hopes and dreams? How old are they? What do they do? Are they married? How big is their company? ( More on getting your first 3 clients here )

– Reach out directly. Lots of people set up a Twitter account and wait for the world to come to them. DON’T DO THAT. Once you’ve identified your potential client email them directly. Example email:

"Hi Mike,
My name is Ramit Sethi and I’m a recent Stanford grad. I’ve been reading your blog for two years (I loved the post about using virtual assistants and got BOTH of my brothers to start using one), and it’s really helped me be more efficient with my work.
It occurred to me that you’re probably interested in growing your blog. I might be able to help. I’ve done video editing (http://www.fakesamplesite.com) and Powerpoint design (http://www.anotherfakesite.com). Imagine doing a great video on using virtual assistants, then distributing it through your newsletter. I could do one for you in about 2 days if you’re interested.
How about chatting later this week? My # is XXX-XXX-XXXX or I can give you a call at your convenience.
Thanks,
-Ramit"

10 useful android tips and tricks you should know - by bhawesh

Android is a great little operating system. It’s absolutely packed with great features , awesome hacks , and time-saving tricks.
But how much do you really know about your phone or tablet ?
Sure, you can make phone calls and send texts, but we bet there is something in this article that you weren’t aware of.
Read on to find out!
Android tricks

1. Disable App Notifications
Bugged by annoying app notifications that just keep coming? If you don’t know already, these app notifications also drain your phone’s battery. If you want to turn them off, and you are on Jelly Bean 4.1 and above, here’s how:
A. On any of your unwanted notifications in your notification bar, long press on the notification for a message box to appear.
B. Tap on App Info > Untick Show Notifications >
OK .
2. Disable Mobile Data
Whenever you don’t need to stay connected, disabling the Mobile Data can help keep your smartphone battery from draining too quickly. Turning off mobile data is as easy as:
A. Going to Settings > Data Usage.
B. Disable Mobile data by toggling the setting from ON to OFF .
3. Ensure your device gets back to you if you lose it.
There’s no surefire way to guarantee you’ll ever see your phone or tablet again if you leave it out in public by accident. That being said, you can improve the chances of it being returned to you by editing your security settings. Go to settings, then security, then owner info. There you’ll see a little box where you can type in contact information that will show up on your lockscreen. This will make it easier for a good Samaritan to return a lost device to its rightful owner.
4. Say “Ok, Google” to start a search from any screen.
It’s the 21 century and we’re all busy 24/7. Cut down on the time it takes to manually search for things by doing it with your voice. To activate vocal control over Google searches, go to your apps page and find the Google app. Tap it (it should take you to Google Now), and scroll down until you see the settings icon on the bottom right. Hit that and select “Voice.” Then, tap on “Ok Google Detection” and activate the “From any screen” setting. Now you’ll be able to start a Google search from any screen on your phone simply by speaking the phrase, “Ok, Google.”
5. You aren’t tied to the Google Play store.
OK, well, you sort of are, but you can download other app stores like Amazon’s if you want to. Indeed, I highly suggest you do so because they are always offering insane deals to try and rip you away from Google’s warm embrace. One of these is their “App of the Day,” in which Amazon offers up a free app to entice you to spend more time in their store. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to save lots of money using these promotions, as at times they’ll put up apps for free that cost several dollars on Google Play.
6. How to Turn Off Auto-Correction
Hate the fact that your phone is going English teacher mode on you? Turn off auto-correction for peace of mind when texting.
1. Go to Settings > Language & input.
2. Tap on the settings icon next to the keyboard that you are using, e.g. Google Keyboard.
3. Look for Auto-correction and tap on it.
4. Select Off to turn auto-correction off.
7. Disable Animations
Here’s a tip on how to make your Android device run a bit smoother: disable its animations. You will need to have access to Developer Options which can be found under Settings or About device.
Note: For some phones, you may need to go to Build number and tap on it repeatedly until you see “You are now a developer!”. Developer options are now enabled.
Under enabled Developer options , look for
Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale. Then, turn them off (disable) them one at a time.
8. Make your phone harder to break into than Fort Knox.
Reader warning: don’t do this one unless you’re really afraid of your phone’s information being stolen. To permanently encrypt your Android device, go to settings, security, encryption, and tap “Encrypt phone.” You’ll then be required to create a pin, which you’ll enter every time you turn your phone on (in order to decrypt it). This is like the unlock code on an iPhone, except way more drastic. Usually it will take about an hour for your device to encrypt itself, and it can only be undone through a factory reset. Only do this if you have sensitive information, or want your phone to be as secure as humanly possible. Be aware that encrypting your information will slow down how fast you can access it.
9. AVE BATTERY BY TURNING OFF POWER-DRAINING APPS
If your battery is dying too quickly, it might be because of background apps that you forget are running. Beefing up your battery life can be easier than you think.
Navigate to Settings>>Apps>>then swipe to the "running" tab. You'll see the apps that are using the most processing and battery power. If you don't use a high-power app very often, simply tap the app and then tap the "quit" button. Getting rid of energy-sucking apps should give you a small boost to your battery life.
10. SET QUICK RESPONSES FOR MISSED CALLS
Have you ever gotten a call from someone just before you head into a movie? It'd be rude to get your phone out to respond, but you don't want them to feel like you're giving them the cold shoulder.
Writing a quick response can solve that very problem. Navigate to Settings>>Call Settings>>Quick Response.
